Happy Losar

It is time for celebration. Tomorrow is the day for Bhutanese New Year’s festival. The specific of Losar differ from region to region and particularly tomorrow is Sharchokpa Losar. It is the traditional practice. Starting from the food preparation, presentation, consumption, and eating; it has symbolic meaning. More importantly it is the day where family unit and reinforce community bonds with verities of games being played.

It is definitely my time to move to a brand new place to work. I will be henceforth working with Department of Road in Regional Office at Tingtibi, Zhemgang District. It was worth attending induction program for two weeks with Royal Civil Service Commission and Ministry of Work and Human Settlement.

I am yet to be there and prepare bucket list to explore the region and beyond.

A change, a new job, a new place to live.
Explore and learn exists.
I shalt prepare bucket list soon
Hope the place shalt be clear as moon

Happy Losar to my fellow bloggers and I wish happiness for times to come in your life.

Album Series IV

When I open my album after many years, I remember how I felt that time. That was the first feeling I ever felt to someone. I never knew this would happen with me that day. It was uncertain and spontaneous. After few days I confirmed that I loved someone sincerely. Few months later someone nameless was my right and we were in love at last.

The start of Romance

The management felt the distributions of girls in sections were not uniform. I was in class 10 C. I never knew who would join and leave my class. Few boys were adjusted with section D and few girls joined my class. Finally the class was set with comparable number of boys and girls.
Class romance is usually a bad idea. I couldn’t control my feelings that time. The moment of her entrance, with her short hair beautifully cut few books in her hand and shy girl she was. The beam of her humbly beautiful face distracts my attention in the class yet I wasn’t overruled with the feelings.

Since then it was affliction of my brain. But my priority was only study and whenever I got free time I think of her and enjoy her moves during social works. Intervals were my best time to fascinate her and think further. It was tough talking to friends about her. Finally a good friend helped me to know her name and background.

Her name was K…. W… she was from northern part of Tashigang yet not far north. At the very end I knew everything about her.

Finally it was time for me to let her know. To propose a girl face to face carrying loads of feeling is simply a thought. Never in real could I face. The common thing and the best were to write sweet epistle and send it via friend covertly.

Finally I did write few sentences letter. The content I only remember is my remarked to reply soon. A week went waiting for reply. One fine Saturday night, it was a moment of joy. I got her reply and we were united. She loved me and I loved her. Our hearts were manacled. She was my first love.

Within few weeks it was time came for departure. I can’t believe. But I had to face reality. She was far away from me however felt so close when I read her committed letters. Reminisce her was my obligation.

It was pain to loss once first love. I was astray by loss of my first love. I am happy that I am friend to her and she is mom of a kid.
Time apprise feelings
Eternal love shalt prevail.

Reconduct exam for Leaked English paper II!

Bhutan Council for School Examination and Assessment (BCSEA) board has decided not to conduct re-exam for the leaked English paper II. It is very unfortunate for the students who haven’t got the leaked questions. The chosen decisions among many options the committee had, doesn’t hold any water. It is honestly unfair.

The most awaiting moment – the decision from the board came as bombshell for the students. Almost everyone was expecting the board to re-conduct the exam. Either parent of the students and the students themselves.

No other options could play fair in this case. There are maximum numbers of students who haven’t gotten any idea about the leaked paper and there are few pockets who proudly have written the paper. The only best option is to redo the exam.

Why consider the marks in English I and abandon English II when former examines mostly the grammar and language and later the literature which expose students to poetry, drama, story etc.? Why should there be two separate papers then? How logical it is to compare two complete different things?

It is good reminiscence how I struggled to score good marks in English. For almost every student English II is rescue from hassle of English I. English II help students to get the good average marks.

The reasons prioritized by the board are cost at the first place and then the logistics and hassle to students. Considering these reasons and decides not to redo exam don’t at all play fair to students and parents who work hard whole academic year. It is not the students illegally leaked the questions. It is the ethical questions to the integrity and liability of person who leaked the paper.

I hope the decision shall be reverse first to redo exam and play fair to all students and then find the person behind for causing adversity and fix accountability at the earliest.

As I reminisce

I was in a room, alone. Winter was cold. The night was completely silent. On the top most floor of the hotel room, I suffered covered with thin black blanket.  It was emotional suffering. The place was known to me before and yet it was nice to see that it hath changed within those past few years. The year was about to end. It was to the end of 2013. I was at Trashigang, on the way to Mongar for my Job Training.

The brand new 2014 was a welcoming call when I was involved in my professional training. I was at Lingmeythang, Mongar.

Wonderful birds....
Started by January, with motives beholds must
Little chirping birds and the sun rise and set busk
That was the moment seize, beauty of stunning birds,
Innocence of little girl, old granny and granddad.
Takila, else tall thy stand, I upon my life feels lucky
Yet February, thou tell the tale of January, I feel wacky.

At the start of February I felt wacky. I went home to meet my parents. Lucky it was, my village is connected with road and unlucky I was no vehicles ply on the day I went home. I had to walk hours instead.
Visit to Takila and nearby places at Gyelposhing
Sweet wench in hamlet, a night hunter shall not fear
Thy fragrance; wooed with sweet tone, overwhelmed with love.

When it was time for February to say goodbye, I had to report back to my college for last semester. It was wonderful time to unit again with friends. Yet again, March welcome with fury to struggle like horse with heavy loads. Marathon for the last semester with project works, tests, assignments, viva voce, and project reviews, writing conference paper begun. It was tough enough to run away as soon as possible from college life.

But for my best buddies, we were always together
Jigme Tenzin, now lecturer at JNP, he the proudest
To shower his unending philosophies,
Draw forth thy argument, Thinley Tobgay;
Finally we shalt think on prating whilst study.
It was good time passed with good buddies.

The college life~
Studying engineering is not everyone’s cup of tea. It was hard time passed with hard work. When I received graduation certificate I felt the sense of relieving.

Simple A3 paper brought much smiles and glory
At the very end of June, thus new challenges activated.

July went by thinking whether to prepare for entrance exam for Royal Civil Service Examination or not. Finally August activated me to be more august in its new beginning.

Graduation day~
Much hated with no option but to face,
In between contemplation, it was yet again a step ahead moved.

After Preliminary exam for RCSE, I travelled to Tsirang. Tsirang was wonderful place to live. It was where I discovered the happiness in society with strong bond of kinship.

September month was busy preparing for the main examinations for RCSE. Finally the big day rushed in. Exams started in the mid and viva voce at the end of the October month. Again it was the moment to relax and enjoy.

With nothing planned to do and engaged, I travelled to Paro and spent few weeks enjoying the takeoff and landing of airplane.

College days, with friends
I went to Gelephu in the mid of November month. I was invited to teach construction management for university graduates at Nyenjor Institute of Technical Skills and Human Value. It was best month teaching and learning.

December, the last month of 2014 was more worrying about my result. The big day came. Yes! I made through RCSE. It was sense of relief and overwhelming joy.

With my student trainees
I resigned from the institute on 24th December. At the very last day of 2014 I got my appointment order from chairperson of RCSC. I chose to work with Department of Road under Ministry of Work and Human Settlement.

Thou art shall frame a journey welcome.
The rise and fall art in arena of thy existence,
Rough and fair by its nature become.
The same shall be 2015 profound
Players’ art complete to play lovely life beyond.

2014 was wonderful year.
