Thank you

I am Sangay Duba and let me declare as an author of the blog Sangay Cholden’s Random Thoughts.

I Hope my fellow bloggers and readers are doing great with your family, friends and anyone that are related to you, one way or other.

I am writing this post to share my smile and happiness at the turn of the century.

I started blogging three years ago when I was in second year. Whatever thoughts come in my mind I try to pen down in black and white. The journey is tough, tough and blank most of the time. It is a difficult path strewn with slippery wet leaves.

I write about anything I want and the assigned topics. These are two opposite instructions for me and the common reaction to both – a big blank. I don’t have enough past experiences that I’ll pour upon. I don’t have gift to get mesmerize by the enthralling beauty of nature and forecast the futile future. Even then I keep my blog up to date.

Basically I write my random thoughts.

Within those past years, I am one among bloggers in Bhutan who blogs regularly.

It is my great pleasure to thank all my readers and followers. My follower counts has already crossed 100 plus. The count of page view is gaining its momentum.

Come hither, young girl

In her eyes of enjoyment, I see thousand rays of smile;
Only you in this town, I see love fill in your smile;
One that is all mix with zephyr, thousand wafts with thy aroma.

Thousands of love, in that wall of division,
Only you are standing, alone with mission;
One that is mix with gentleness, thousands follows thy way.

Bounty beauty in little baby girl! (photo from google)

Alone with thee, with thy shape of marvelous,
In those eyes of joy, dwelling you and countless,
I get dissolve in love, the love of transform.

Still along on your journey, wafting like the feather;
Think about me; Think about my time with you,
Still I hold the breadth, the breadth of your hither.

Come hither! (photo from google)

Galloping sound of your coming, my heart throbs to hear;
Thy face shines far, yet covering the large arena;
Thee in that power may your love flourish, come hither, young girl.

Do I need to upgrade?

A small handheld device with the ability to call and send messages has become necessity for almost all citizens. Internet accessibility from almost anywhere in the world has added more value and smart due to rapid technological advances. The mobile phone has become an essential product all around the world.

Black and white Nokia mobile phone and Bata slipper were my valuable assets back during college days.

Many friends ask me to upgrade those to what they say smart!

Not my choice of smart phones!

May be I need to upgrade my smart black and white Nokia 1280. Everyone is asking for WeChat Id. Only smart phones support the gadget.

There are many drawbacks with smart phones. The safeguarding cost is too high. Even the few inches screen plastic cover cost half the cost of my Nokia. It’s battery hardly last for a day. Nothing frustrates a person when his mobile get run out of battery and ask for my black and white for unnecessary call and sms.

Due to rapid technological advances, cellular phones become obsolete in a very short period of time. The average life span of a cell phone is roughly one to two years. But my Nokia is more then three years old.

Moreover there are uncountable cases of thief of those smart phones! Lucky I, my Nokia 1280 don’t attract such worry.
My choice of smart Phone!!

Misery of all; I could see so many nonsense video clips, funniest and sensitive.

My black and white Nokia's battery last for a week which I bought for just Nu. 950/- from Jaigon. It has facility to listen FM radio, I can play cricket game and I can write beautiful messages.

It is not that I can’t afford though I am poor. The fact is I don’t like them at all. My only purpose of using mobile phone is to call and send short message wherever convenient. I am more then convenient and comfortable with it. So, a big NO for the smart phones!!

Look There~

My thoughts are random. Every thought I pen down, it gives me moment to read again and smile. Am I insane in my thoughts? Yet another random poem written, I don’t know why. But I enjoy the most among much stuff I do.

Look there. Look there in the forest.
Can you see the daffodil rest?
I want to titivate you with those little flowers.
I want to give you happiness like dancing bees.

I can see the dancing bees and wafting flags.
Near the daffodils it sings and plays well.
Even that chubby green caterpillar doesn’t give up.
Within those beautiful flowers, he dwells.

Look down. Look down in the busy city.
Can you see that green bus moving to our home?
Exactly at this time I see you waiting on the door step.
Sonam used to cutely call me from window pane.

Look there. Look there near the horizon.
The sunset is clear and awesome with cloud saying goodbye.
Let’s go. Let’s go home. Let’s say bye for Buddha for today.
I Hope happiness prevail between you and me.
I love you. I love the world. I love the people.

Graduation Day

One time in life, my option was to become a teacher. That was either to study in Samtse or Paro College of Education. It was nobody’s influence. But my own genuine call of heart. That was when I was in my middle secondary school.

I studied hard.

With very good marks I got to opt for science as my major in higher secondary studies. There were three options again. Either I opt for Biology or Mathematics or study both;  bio-math. I was in dilemma for few months whether to leave Biology or take both. Finally my decision was bold. I majored my studies in Mathematics.

More hard work I had put in.

I have my own reason for the hard work. I am a son of farmer. The suffering of my father and stature of have-not of my parents impelled me to study more and hard. With unexpected result in twelfth standard, I was qualified for professional studies outside country and was ranked in top twenties overall.

Hard work alone do not count all the time. For disadvantaged boy like me after class twelve, there was no one to help. When my friends went for selection interview for professional courses I was left behind.

I can not and will not forget that moment in my life. It was 6th March 2008, the day for selection interview for various professional courses. At that time, I was engaged in temporary job with Kuensel store to make little earnings. It was hectic job shifting heavy bulks of paper.  I saw my friends waiting for other friends near Thimphu Chorten. They were going for the interview. They saw me passing down the footpath with my lunch box. It was saddest moment and I couldn’t wish good luck nor stare at them. Same feeling was felt on them too. They were helpless. The best possibility was to continue my steps down the footpath with heavy heart. I cried for the first time as grown-up boy.

It was a moment of real sadness.

Within a year after serving as Assistant Chemist in private organization, I got an equivalent opportunity to study again. I got admitted in College of Science and Technology with major in Civil Engineering. I studied hard and now it is time for me to leave this wonderful college.

As I fold my arms today, I am proud to be ONE!
Today as I complete my training and fold my arms I feel proud to be ONE. I dedicate the moment and degree to my great father who is happy with the news. I miss you dad. See you soon back home.

Tomorrow is my graduation day.
