Bless the Year

2015 was a fruitful year. Many wonderful accomplishments were added up in the chronicle of my life revolution. At the very beginning of the bygone year, I got my appointment order from RCSC with the Department of Roads, further with the Regional Office, Tingtibi. After the office commenced operations in the Regional Office, I once again took on the significant responsibility of Project Engineer to oversee the road projects in Upper Kheng. Among all the projects, the construction of the controversial Shingkhar GC road is particularly challenging. I have gained much new knowledge, skills, techniques, and technological advancements regarding road construction throughout my professional life. Yet, again with the new 2016, I beseech, “Bless the Year.”

Welcome, 2016. I don’t have any specific resolutions, but I am sure I’ll do my best for anyone who can relate to me. Happy 2016!

Happy Losar

It is time for celebration. Tomorrow is the day for the Bhutanese New Year’s festival. The specifics of Losar differ from region to region, and specifically, tomorrow marks Sharchokpa Losar. It is the traditional practice. Starting from the food preparation, presentation, consumption, and eating, it has symbolic meaning. More importantly, it is the day where families unite and reinforce community bonds with a variety of games being played. 

It is my time to move to a brand new place to work. I will be henceforth working with the Department of Road in the Regional Office at Tingtibi, Zhemgang District. It was worth attending the induction program for two weeks with the Royal Civil Service Commission and the Ministry of Work and Human Settlement.

Prescience of 2014, the New Year

Gone were the days. Addition makes a week. When the weeks are added, it becomes a month. And finally, upon adding the gone months, it is a year. Goodbye, 2013. The memories were bitter, good, and hilarious. The bitter memories alarm me to rise again. The good memories make me smile and ponder the reflected thoughts back to the times of 2013. Hilarious moments dominate my presence everywhere, yet it is the essence of humor that permeates all moods.

Nothing special, I wish for me and sentient beings. I just want to wish happiness and peace to all. I wish Happy New Year to all!!! Happy New Year, 2014.  

Hope January welcomes you soundly. December shall close with many positive memories. The months between shall dwell for the paramount happiness.

I say candidly Goodbye to 2013. The memories were bitter for a few sections of the society. They had to bear the misery of elemental fury. Their homes were destroyed by a combination of bombing, blizzards, cyclones, hailstorms, hurricanes, fires, and more. People were homeless. They struggled. They lost their dear one. They lose faith in life. However, they received reassurance and a helping hand.

People fought for their right. If the judgment is worth hearing, it is worth fighting for. People lost respect for the law. They want the leader to resign. They disturbed the peace and harmony in the society. The world is suffering from the political humbug. Yet the world revolves round seeking for the change.

I artlessly welcome 2014. Finally we are back to the base.  Let the world be calm. Let the people be humble. Let the politicians at least discern the difference between the reality and their promises. Let not nature’s force destroy the innocent lives. Let the power of almighty rule and let the people build faith among themselves. Finally, let the base be built to raise the bud to bloom the flowering, the acme.
