Prescience of 2014, the New Year

Gone were the days. Addition makes a week. When the weeks are added, it becomes a month. And finally, upon adding the gone months, it is a year. Goodbye, 2013. The memories were bitter, good, and hilarious. The bitter memories alarm me to rise again. The good memories make me smile and ponder the reflected thoughts back to the times of 2013. Hilarious moments dominate my presence everywhere, yet it is the essence of humor that permeates all moods.

Nothing special, I wish for me and sentient beings. I just want to wish happiness and peace to all. I wish Happy New Year to all!!! Happy New Year, 2014.

Hope January welcomes you soundly. December shall close with many positive memories. The months between shall dwell for the paramount happiness.

I say candidly Goodbye to 2013. The memories were bitter for a few sections of the society. They had to bear the misery of elemental fury. Their homes were destroyed by a combination of bombing, blizzards, cyclones, hailstorms, hurricanes, fires, and more. People were homeless. They struggled. They lost their dear one. They lose faith in life. However, they received reassurance and a helping hand.

from Google!

People fought for their right. If the judgment is worth hearing, it is worth fighting for. People lost respect for the law. They want the leader to resign. They disturbed the peace and harmony in the society. The world is suffering from the political humbug. Yet the world revolves round seeking for the change.

I artlessly welcome 2014. Finally we are back to the base.  Let the world be calm. Let the people be humble. Let the politicians at least discern the difference between the reality and their promises. Let not nature’s force destroy the innocent lives. Let the power of almighty rule and let the people build faith among themselves. Finally, let the base be built to raise the bud to bloom the flowering, the acme.

Happy New Year 2014!

Back in 2013

2012 ended with much fear. World was feared by the rumor of the bullshit predicted doomsday. Yet the fear went away when fresh new 2013 begun. Still 2012 will be the year for disenchantment with the way people tried for disharmony and dissonance. Little old 2013 embarked upon the endear success and failures that I have to share…

Yes, time and tide wait for none. It goes on and on. Never on its happiness neither off its glee, will dare to wait for none. Time does have an endless and tireless journey of reminders for me. Yet it is my own aide-mémoire to remember in my future.

Starting the fresh beginning of 2013, I was in sixth semester in the college that always taught me the vitality of what time is! The year was new. I have my own share to study the old stuffs once more. For the first time I was alone in a room. For the first time I had to repeat the semester. Engineering is not a cup of tea for me, really! No one is perfect for if we are, you won’t be here on earth and I won’t be too. And nobody will be on earth. That is why I had second chance to fight the battle of technical studies. Finally I won.

Midway through the year, I was in seventh semester, final year in the college. It was the time of joy and bossy boots. Yet it was challenging with the project work for the fulfillment of degree programme. Struggling and wedged between the project, seminar and update of the class lessons, finally I am done with exams and again attached for the On-the Job-Training (OJT). It is considered as a module in eighth semester.

I have visited historic Lhuntse for the first time admitting the genuine addition excursion in the chronology of events in life. It was worth visiting yet dazzling to the erudite book of History of Bhutan. Inevitably I am to-ing and fro-ing between Lingmithang and Gyelposhing in Mongar and thus it ends 2013. Yet I will begin my year visiting the Guru at Tangmachu, Lhuntse. Hope I get the blessings and I will pray for the peace in the world and happiness of the people.

I wish everyone Happy New Year 2014. Smile and Be happy!!!

Beautiful Lhuntse

History taught me about Lhuntse and its importance. It has brighten my thoughts on how Bhutan is special with little Lhuntse we have. Today I was on my journey to a site at the place of great historic importance. Yet I remember our forefathers Jigme Namgyel and Gongsar Ugyen Wangchuk’s struggle to fortify Bhutan.

Beautiful Chali of Mongar Dzongkhag with beautiful yellowish terraces lead my way. Below and above the road, I can see happy Bhutanese enjoying the daily works for their livelihood. Valleys are incredible. Green Khuri chhu is calm yet it is making its fix way opposite to my journey.

The carriageway is very small. It is not up to the laid standard on the book. I felt like the road actually doesn’t have vehicular access as per the required standard. I never know the exact reason why the system is like that but I grumble on the ultimate reason of budget constrain from the responsible persons. Still it was worth plying on seeing the beautiful historic sites of the country.

Mountains and small towns are almost same. It is decorated with dried shrubbery and constructed with pine woods. And yet I find it is most vulnerable to fire. There is no single firefighting equipment I could see in those little towns. Bumthang and Wamrong town succumbed to fire outbreak few years ago. The same fate would happen to these lined houses of Khoma and Lhuntse towns unless otherwise people are totally vigilant. Locality needs to pine for the fire safety and fighting equipments.

Kuri Chhu is calm and it divides the modern and traditional route. Left bank bears the road access and from the left bank on the same height I can see the shunted traditional route. Bhutan has excelled in travelling amenities. It has to go long way to be safe from fire. Yet forest needs to be saved.
Kuri Chhu

Seeing those routes, I blend my thoughts with how people might have struggled to reach the fortress that is held so high on the peak of the mountain. Still people use these routes. It is beautiful to see and good to visualize how great leaders of the past had faced the harsh reality to unify Bhutan. It is again indeed sad to see the sturdy foundation of the shunted bridge.
Lhuntse Dzong

I yearn to sit beside old citizens of the locality and listen to how the past of the region were.  Yet I desire to visit Dungkar gewog. I have bucketloads of charm to visit again.

The Beautiful Eyes I have ever Seen

Life is all about experimenting and experiencing the beautiful and undesirable moments in it. The journey strewn with beautiful leaves will reveal its most beautiful aroma that one will not forget in the entire journey. It is not all about beauty and good. Yet it is rude by itself to reveal its bad face. And collectively it is the journey of a zigzag path, just like a river. Twists, turns, bends, and falls are uncountable. As is life. Yet it is beautiful to live it to the fullest, and it is best to learn from bad.

On the meandering ways of the river of my life, I observe the beauty of what we see—the beauty around us—the eyes. It is the prized gift of nature to all of us. It is sad that nature hasn't treated everyone fairly. However, a few individuals lost this precious gift due to accidents. How sad it is. When we close the door of sight, we reminisce about how the surroundings looked. And for those who haven't been seen, I contemplate how they are thinking. I know they desire the gift endlessly.

Basically I am going to share beautiful and lively eyes I have seen. They inspire me to contemplate and express my gratitude.

It is a great loss for the world. The world mourned for the death of Nelson Mandela. Indeed, people around the globe are suffering from bereavement. A man with such beautiful eyes and with beautiful dreams he had fulfilled. I anticipate yet another Mandela will be born for the further unification of the broken world.
Nelson Mandela

Though people will live without you, definitely they will remember the deep sense you have instilled through the deep eyes of love and compassion. Rest in peace.  Your beautiful eyes, handsome face, and impactful life will be remembered forever.

I found these eyes of someone on Facebook. It is simply awesome and charming. The eyes are innocent yet embody the profound beauty of the world. I owe them gratitude for enhancing my life and helping me embrace the world with love.

With Kushal Ashok

Sorry Ashok and readers. I failed to post soon after our meet since I was busy gearing around my tight schedule. Yet another point in the chronology of my memory is added. Thank you Ashok for your time with me.

We were merely a facebook friend. We are facebook friend because I am from Bhutan, the land of Thunder Dragon. He loves Bhutan very much. He is from the land of magnificent tigers, India, wonderful big brother to my country. His name is Kushal Ashok. He is computer engineer by profession at Infosys. He did engineering degree from Punjabi University. He is motorcycling enthusiast. I remember our converse on facebook, the love to visit my country for biking. I profoundly welcomed him. He visited Bhutan twice. When he visited for the second time it is my first time to meet someone whom I knew online.

I am not going to describe how we met. When I first saw him, he was facing to his motherland in Jaigon. And when he suddenly turned his position to my motherland, I went smiling to him for a big welcoming hug. Yea, he was coming with profound smiling for the strong introduction. “Are you Sangay?’, ‘yea I am. ‘Are you Ashok?’... Yet still smiling we hug and came in to my silent country. I met him in the bordering state in Jaigon and preceded our walk into Phuntsholing, little town of my country.

We had wonderful dinner at Hotel Peljorling. And here are some of dinner and walking snap of our short meet. Welcome again Ashok.
Second serve of rice

The Circle and Aroma of Romance and Hatred

The word attachment is legendary for the kids to their parents and to whom they receive utmost care. The nature of treating someone, intact the nature to particular person in which they are treated and thus the tendency to love and hate develop. The moon and the sun are legendary to all beings on the earth and so are the word love and hate has triumph in partial.

Emotions are inborn. We have the tendency in which when we think someone is criticizing, ignoring or depriving us of some gain or anything else then we develop corresponding emotions. The case in which a girl smile to boy or vice versa whenever they meet and when he/she growl, we lost in our thoughts of adoring and angst. And the circle and aroma of romance and hatred gears around.

Love is love and the method of expressing and the practice is different. And that is why we have the mode of saying different love. The love to your parents and love to your girlfriend or boyfriend is different. We can’t have the same love to our parents like that we have loved our partner. We romance with our partner we just love our parents for what they have done which nothing can equal their deeds to us. We can quit partner but not parents. And the circle and aroma of having dear parents, lucky loving partner gears around in an arena of life.

The cause and conditions of fashion continuously change and so the description of beauty- beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. Yesterday I have seen a girl with full Kira. Today I am seeing the same girl with half Kira. And I anticipate tomorrow I shall see her in pants and shirts. I can’t think to project myself to how we are slowly moving to the stone age of nakedness. Description of beauty changes with time. We were once a naked ape. We have developed the habit of dressing and shame for the nakedness. Slowly we have learned to cover our body with beautiful dress. And that we called the culture and tradition of dressing. The circle and aroma of dressing style to nakedness and ape gears around in the society of modernity.

One day that shall definitely come in my life

One day that shall definitely come in my life, I will visit Ladakh to hoist lung dar, prayer flags, and pray for peace in the world.

One day in my life that shall definitely come, I will visit Rameytey, the site where the nine-story building of Milarepa is underway, and pray for the world to be filled with such mankind, bringing more peace and prosperity to the region.

One day in my life that shall definitely come, I will visit Thimphu National Stadium and play the world’s funniest soccer match.

One day in my life that shall definitely come, I will be the best to my wife, kids, and the people who shall relate to me in everything.

One day, I will take my parents on a pilgrimage, allowing them to be their best selves and making them as blissfully content as I can, so they will not have any expectations of me.

The day will darken as the sun goes below the horizon. The night will be brightening up. Birds will chirp the beautiful hymn. Yet I will not forget to be kind to all beings. I promise.

Your life will go on. Life will reveal its beauty. Life will make you realize the beauty. Life will impart the most valuable lesson. Life will make you feel as if you are failing to live. There will be hurdles. Life will be like that. And I wish happiness, and forget not that life is worth being happy about.

Be happy.

It is a beautiful Dream

Inspired by the “beautiful Sunday” of Daniel Boone, it is my own beautiful dream for you.

Sunday night I had a dream.
I think I have known the truth of my dream.
It was a beautiful dream indeed.

Monday morning I have seen you,
Walking slowly behind me in real.
Hey, hey, your smile makes me mad like a dream.

Tuesday evening I reflected on your smile.
I think your smile should intact in my mind,
Hey, hey, it makes me feel mild.

Wednesday afternoon I have seen you during the lunch
I have seen you with wide beam.
Fine, fine, fine it definitely suits you to smile.

Thursday taught me what I shall proceed.
Whole day I was alone in my room,
Lost in the thoughts of your smile and beauty.
Hey, hey, hey your smile makes me feel cool.

Friday morning away in the lawn
In and around the beautiful dandelion,
The zephyr of your smile hallucinates on my face.

Saturday told me what I have perceive
My heart beat to say I am in love
That the sequel of your smile is heavy
Hey, hey, hey I am flying away in the aroma of your smile…..

Youngman with Tolerance

A young man in his twenties is nowhere to set off. He is all alone in his thoughts. The path to his destiny is set. But it seems boring and tedious yet rewarding. He is cool indeed and lets happenings pass by. He is neither a lunatic nor a success fanatic; however, he takes joy in attributing his longevity to his experiences. I love the way I am. I am Sangay Duba.

Yesterday I was told I was nervous. It was forced to be in the situation of a war zone. Today I told myself, “Let’s face it.” Yeah, I faced it. The situation was in the triumphant victory of what I learned. I shared what I had learned during the project review. Ultimately, it brought me a sense of satisfaction and joy. After the end, I was again into the philosophy of what happiness is with Professor Ananta from Orissa. It was a hectic day with immense contentment.

I love photography

I love photography, and it is another enthusiasm that I thoroughly enjoy. It gives me immense pleasure to let myself know and inform myself about that it says a thousand words. The moment of the click and the moment it informs are in themselves the great essence of photography. For the same click and when the output is strange, it gives enormous contentment and satisfaction, for it describes loads of things it has to say.

Ready?
My friend took the photo above when we were on a study tour to Punatshangchu. I never knew about my post as well when I took photographs. It is indeed strange and funny. Usually friends laugh whenever I take a camera and get to shoot them. From that day when my friend showed me the above photo on his phone, I knew why they had to laugh whenever I took photographs.

It is happiness in itself to let others laugh and to enjoy oneself with them. I love it!!

First follower of "The Bhutanese Crow"

Hello Karma Thinley.

A chronicle of revolution of Sangay Cholden’s Random Thought was contributed with another journey for being the first follower of the blog “TheBhutanese Crow” authored by Karma Thinley.

Thank you very much for the wonderful say on me about my chance and luck to be the first follower of your wonderful blog. I am flattered indeed.

And I am sorry, there is letter ‘l’ missing in the name you have mentioned. It should be Sangay Cholden.

It was my pleasure to follow your blog and read superb articles. And yes, it is my history in the blogging world that I got to be first follower of a blog.

And I beg your pardon for the late reply.

Experiences are always good and challenging. Feelings and life tells me to maintain more interpretation in black and white. I feel more to write but fail to scribble down and say yea I have done it! And popularity isn’t the choice and criteria for my blog. Writing what I think (random thoughts) and reading what others wrote and simultaneously learning and making life worth is what interest me in blogging world. The more I write and read the more I do know about me and my life.

As of now I don’t have anything to comment and suggest. It is good to keep your blog simple. If you add more gadgets and make it fancy, it takes time to load.

I wish you happy blogging and hope we can know better being as blogger and be happy and smile as human. It is the ultimate goal in life.

Thank you

Sangay Cholden Duba

Happiness or Purpose?

Does it differ from one to another? Does the definition suffice to all human beings? What is happiness?

Once upon a time there lived six boys. They were friends, from different parent.  And the backgrounds of their parents were diverse. Most of the time they mingled together, playing, gossiping and mostly studying. They were student somewhere where the heat of modernization wasn’t intensified.

There were two SOnam Jiks among them. In order to shun perplexity they supplemented T and S after surname indicating Tall and Short. Sonam Jiks T and Sonam Jiks S. Further abbreviated to SJT and SJS. Does it sound cool?

One fine day they went on excursion. They were travelling through a beautiful lawn. Out of nowhere they switched on to discuss about how an individual label happiness.  One of them asked, “What happiness to you?”

Two of them said the happiness for him is managing to survive. For one owning buildings and expensive vehicles best describe him to be happy ever. For SJS and SJT happiness to them is having a likeness of Cristano Ronaldo and Brad Pit. For another one getting hold of tiger skin, elephants’ tusk, nine eyed Zee etc believe him to be happy. To marry a beautiful girl in their life and to be her erotic hubby will let them happy to all except SJS, not to be erotic to his wife.

Their notion on happiness differs. Happiness differs a great deal in which how they want to pilot their life. Within individual definitions of happiness fluctuate. Our hope turns to fear, fear to hope, suffering to happiness, happiness to suffering.

When we are child walking long distance, carrying on dad or mom’s back is happiness. As teenagers, watching the girls in bikinis is happiness. In our midlife, money and profession are happiness. And when we are old, late eighties, to be kind is happiness I guess? It is indeed that we grow old diminishing the hate and partiality. Everything gets subsided under the thought of futility. And is it happiness or purpose?

Be Happy and smile.

What is happiness for you? Let me know if you are happy to share and smile.

Who am I?

No one is the same. Each person on earth is unique. We have our own physical characteristics. Some of us have red hair, some have blue eyes, some are tall, and some are too short. We differ in personalities. Some are shy, some stubborn, and some fearless. There are characteristics that we were born with and some we inculcate through our experiences. And we are never conscious enough to notice such vivid things that matter in our daily lives.

When you don’t know who you are, the consequences can serve as a lesson. You will not remember how you have lived your past. You will not enjoy how you are going with the present. And you will not see the future.

It is difficult to die young. It is detrimental to make mistakes. Knowing the truth about your life is a burden, but it spares you from the misery of ignorance. Negligence and societal pressures can prevent you from realizing your full potential, causing the aroma of youth to fade quickly.

Decisions are critical in your life. If you want to drive your own life, you had better be a good driver yourself. It is better to decide now on your own and live a life that is worth living. Decide on whom you want to spend the rest of your life. There are many boys and girls without parents and brought up under the care and guidance of uncles and aunts. And there are millions who are lucky enough to live with dear parents. The day will come for everyone to live and lead a life of their own. And the best motivation is to get married.

Marry the choice of your heart. Bury and blend the suggestions and feedback with the love you receive from your parents or someone you depend on. It is indeed a curse for some to bury their true inner essence of love out of fear of the seeming rejection you offer if they do not go along with your choice.
image from Google!!!

Once upon a time in a village called Bayyuel, there lived a beautiful girl. She was living with her aunt and uncle. When she was in class ten, her parents got divorced, and there was no destiny for her since then. Father went with stepmother, and her mother couldn’t live long enough to see how her left-out kids grew up to face the challenging world. The only option left was to live with her aunt, who was her mother's elder sister.

After class twelve, she didn’t continue her study. She chose to work. She was employed in an organization. Her aunt and uncle did almost everything for her. They also looked after her younger sisters and brothers.

The biggest day came for her when her aunt asked her to marry a man of their choice. She has never known the man. She has not studied the man in depth. She was carried away in the fear of refusal and reaction from her aunt and uncle. Blindly she accepted the proposal and agreed that he was good and would be good throughout her life. Her life was decided by her aunt.

But her notion proved wrong after a few months of being into married life. The real character of her husband as wild is known, and almost everything was a big bombshell for her. And she was busted into the wild with emotions, and thus again, the shadow appeared in her life.

Decide your own life regardless of what others might say you should do; ultimately you are breathing independently.

Next guest needs no Introduction

It was indeed great to learn and inspect the visiting sites during the study tour. We were on four days study tour to Punatshangchu I and II at Wangdue, Memay Lakha waste Dumping site, water treatment plant, Agro Industry and Dechenling town planning in Thimphu.

It was more fun taking photos with friends and enjoyed the journey to and fro in and around the town of Thimphu. The most valuable thing is something that we have gained and learned from the visiting sites. Visual experiences conflate with what we have learned will help us in at least know how things are executed in the field and manage for the better choice of where to join after our study.

The photo taken below is above Serbithang waste treatment site. The construction of the plant was funded by JICA. Organic wastes from vegetable market are bought to the site and manufactured into manure which is purely organic.

with Ugyen
He is my friend Ugyen Phuntsho. He is well known as Shoalin. He is indeed fun loving and we veg out in the college. We had seen Royal Thimphu College for the first time and we were tempted to take snap keeping it as background for our style of unity as guest. For I find it doesn’t require the fact to intact that he is my guest to introduce as your guest friend.
