Let us know!!

All are considered brilliant academically. Faculties considered us grown up and too treat as the same. From the moment of first assembly we were tagged grown up and yea we are. But what if you don’t know the difference between senior and junior? Isn’t it something that the grownup should know and have that skill to act accordingly?

First let me introduce CST. CST stands for College of Science and Technology. Once upon a time it was RTI (Royal Technical Institute) and in 2000 it was upgraded to RBIT (Royal Bhutan Institute of Technology) and later renamed the current name. Don’t misunderstand still for RTI and RBIT, which offered diploma and certificate once upon a time. Many enquire to say, are you in RTI? Whatever be it is only college that offers under graduate degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering.

It is evident that only toppers can make through here. And the reason for us to tag grown up is clear and bold.

Once you are here, you should know that you are not only to learn from books. It is a place where you learn to socialize. It is place where you should know the fundamental nature of friendship and sharing. It will let you know the sense of brotherhood. And important thing you should know is the seniority. It is everywhere. You can’t avoid it wherever you go. If you can’t accept the fact of seniority then you are liable to be ragged and seniors will show that the fact that you should except and learn. This is what happens in western world and India. And CST doesn’t have this culture. This college will prepare to be what you are supposing to and survive in a real world. If someone can’t survive these facts then I doubt whether you will survive in real world?

Ragging was not here. It is not here and it will not triumph in future too. There is one, that was here from the start of the college, still prevails and it will be in future- briefing.

Cool CST....
There are differences between ragging and briefing. Literally briefing mean information that is given to someone before they do something, or meeting where this happen. If somebody goes beyond the limit of what is desired by mass and if someone dare to deflect away from certain norms, deserve to get briefing. But no ragging!!

Ragging means baiting or bullying someone. In India and western world, we can see lots of student suicide because they can’t clutch the pain of embarrassment. They will be surrounded by seniors and harass them physically.

It is lucky enough that seniors in CST aren’t like that.  The post in Kuensel Forum is not true. He/she was too mean. They were briefed not ragged. They were briefed on timings that they failed to attend important occasions- teacher’s day and picnic with lectures. They were briefed on dress codes in dining hall, necessity to attend prayer which is held once a week and about zero tolerance of substance abuse.

Remember that being best you are here and to be best in you is better than anyone else or yourself. We are not perfect, no one is, but you are academically sound, for if you were not, you wouldn’t be in this college and no one of us would be!!

Sangay Dubas'

Some of my friend says, I am 24 hours online and out of curiosity they say I am flirting. Who knows it may be a mere coincidence because we have same time table here. Same dinner timing, same classes timing and only different thing is timing for toileting.

Yesterday I thought this shit, you may say. When I was in schools I used to be proud of my name because I was only Sangay Duba. There were double Pema Dorji, Sonam Dorji, Karma Dorji and many more. And some triple too. I always put on BBS radio to check if there is any Sangay Duba in other part of the nation. When I was in class eight I heard BBS radio broadcasting my name Sangay Duba, that is tagged for a man in Mongar. As a young boy then I was happy that at least there is one person with same name as mine. When I reached twelfth standard, big smile ride my face. I saw my name being tagged for a man who got promoted to the post of Dzongda in Kuensel. Really felt great lol!!

People will have same name but they have different fame. Physically and mentally they are different. They are totally different in everything.

Yesterday I searched on facebook and I found nine Sangay Dubas. They are totally different Sangay Duba. I will describe one by one.

Sangay Duba 1
Number one Sangay Duba I found was who studied at Mongar High School. His favorite quotation is “the best dream happens when you are awake”.  He has limited information.

Sangay Duba 2
This is the smart second Sangay Duba who is studying at Bharathiar University, India. And he has only this information.
Sangay Duba 2

Sangay Duba 3
Here is another Sangay Duba who is currently monk in Mongar Dratshang. His interest mentioned is for both male and female. And information is limited to his interest only.
Gelong Sangay Duba

Sangay Duba 4
He is at kanglung and graduated from Nangkor High School, Pema Gatshel.  His interest matches with gelong Sangay Duba and his favorite quotation is “I walk slowly but not backward”. Seems he is cool man!
Sangay Duba 4

Sangay Duba 5,
Sangay Duba 6,
Sangay Duba 7 and Sangay Duba 8 don’t have any details neither their photos.

And last Sangay Duba, myself with another name Salman Khan, his favorite actor. His interest is for both male and female. His favorite quotation is ‎"When you are in Love you can't fall asleep because reality is better than your dreams” and describe himself - crazy to be friend but lazy to be sociable..... And respect for what they are.................. Friendly and.........
Sangay Duba, Salman Khan

His profile says that he is at Greece working as cow herder in cow association and studied at College of Science and Technology.

And one peculiar thing I have noticed to all Sangay Duba is that all Sangay Dubas are single. No one is in relationship.

The Real Pain!!!

I can’t justify myself. I can’t lead the role. I am not good in words. You vent your anger on me. I will endure all pains. I will not harm you with bad words. I will not beg you. I will let you to respect your feelings and let you do what your heart says to! I will not say I hate you instead love you more for doing what your heart says.

And I beg sorry for not able to show your way in my heart. Sorry for that little mischief that can be forgiven but you didn’t because for you it confirms I did a big blunder. Only I can say is simple sorry from bottom of my heart. My head and brain numbs when I endeavor to say more because I am not a perfect man. Like perfect man perfect love can’t be found. So don’t mind I swear I am not perfect and I couldn’t do the perfect thing and give you the perfect love. My little butter flies left with broken wings. My little smile from immeasurable dept left unseen. My treasured words -‘I love you’ to you left unheard.

Though the pain is unbearable I will try to accept it and hope time will teach me to heal it. And here is what I will recite to you in tears!!

In every Room of our time together there is a box,
Of memories we shared,
Now is the time to pack away,
With Sadness and with Care.

The first is a simple smile,
When ever I thought of you,
Neatly folded into four,
It’s the best that I could do.

Next are all the memories,
Of the times when we were two,
Wrapped with love one by one,
Sealed with tears as glue.

And then there are the butterflies,
I had when you were near,
Now in a cage of sadness,
And locked up with a tear.

Now to pack are the pieces of my heart,
Gathered in a pile,
Each one wrapped up tenderly,
And placed next to a distant smile.

Finally all the shattered wishes,
Placed in softly so no more can break,
Covering them over trying not to cry,
So they would not all ache.

Lastly walking round in my room,
Closing each and every curtain,
Shutting the door with deep pain,
Leaving behind each and every pain.

Gathering up the memories we shared,
Making sure I’ve got them all,
Packing them softly because I cared,
Leaving them in the boxes in the hall… Goodbye...

Mistaken !!

When I am in village for vacation I am usually mistaken for my cousin Dangsa Kota. They say we look very similar. For certain extent we may be because we are from same grandparents. He works as a cultural tour guide.

Dangsa Kota
Myself
Now here in college I am mistaken for my senior friend Jigme Tshewang. Many lecturers and friends asked me for is he my brother? I simply say yes for my friend and no for lecturers. How this is possible when he from Yangtse and me from S/Jongkhar? May be we look similar because of our little long chin but not long as Phurba Thinley, famous Bhutanese Comedian.

No confusion especially girls, we are who we are, we gonna be what we are to be and we'll never interchange lol!!
